Northern Peace Conference on the 2023 General Elections

On November 14, 2022, The 2Baba Foundation, Child Protection and Peer Learning Initiative (CPPLI) and JESZ Development Foundation; the Vote Not Fight Campaign partners for the north-central, north-east and north-west hosted the Northern Peace Conference on the 2023 General Elections. The Conference was organized out of concern over the security situation in the country, particularly, in the north. Its objective was to build intergenerational consensus between northern youth and the older generation on the need for peaceful general elections in 2023.

Participants at the Northern Peace Conference included Innocent Idibia (Aka 2Baba); legendary Nigerian musician and Vote Not Fight Campaign Ambassador, Prof. A.A. Zuru; Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) National Commissioner and representative of the Commission’s Chairman, Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, spokesperson of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), and Muhammed Ajia; Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commandant of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and representative of the Agency’s Chairman.

Other participants included Rev Fr. Atta Barkindo; Head of Secretariat of the National Peace Committee (NPC) and representative of the Chairman of the NPC, Engr. Yabagi Sani; Chairman Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Prof. Rufai Alkali; National Chairman of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) and Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim; National Secretary of the Labour Party (LP). Youth leaders of northern extraction at the conference included Hamzat Lawal; Executive Director Connected Development (CODE), Farouk Ibrahim, Yiaga Africa Program Manager and Vote Not Fight coordinators from the northern region.

VoteNotFight; The 2Baba Foundation takes campaign to North-Central Nigeria

The 2Baba Foundation, in partnership with National Democratic Institute (NDI), USAID, and UKAID, is implementing the VoteNotFight campaign in the North Central region of Nigeria, as part of voter and civic education activities towards the general elections of 2023 in Nigeria. The VoteNotFight campaign aims to encourage young people’s increased participation in the electoral process and to advocate for elections without violence.


Innocent Idibia pka 2Baba, founder and president of the board of trustees of The 2Baba Foundation has been a celebrity volunteer and campaign ambassador for the VoteNotFight campaign since 2015 and has championed the advocacy in almost all the states of the federation during the cycle and off-cycle elections.


The 2Baba Foundation will undertake the campaign from August 2022 till March 2023.

2Baba donates brand new music studio to OAU, Ife.

Innocent Ujah Idibia, pka 2Baba has commissioned the multi-million naira ultra-modern digital and analog studio that he constructed, equipped and donated to the School of Music at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. The commissioning event held on Tuesday, March 15th 2022.

In 2018, 2Baba was conferred with the fellowship of the school of music at OAU. He is the first-ever to receive a highly prestigious award from the school. As part of his commitment towards music and education in the school, and in the nation, he made a promise to provide a well-equipped studio for the school and has made good on his promise.

“I am delighted that this dream I had is a reality today, and I am able to support this generation in getting quality music education”, said the music icon.

The music studio is the first and only one of its class and capacity in any higher institution in Nigeria. 2Baba also acknowledged the contribution of some of his corporate partners who contributed towards the studio. He thanked Oraimo Nigeria, and Campari Nigeria, two organizations he has had a long-standing relationship with as brand ambassadors.
He also promised to replicate this kind of intervention in other schools across the nation.

The launch ceremony for the newly-built studio was hosted by the vice-chancellor of the university, Professor E.O. Ogunbodede, and was well attended by members of the university community.

EargasmForCharity: The 2Baba Foundation hosts fundraiser in Lagos

Innocent Idibia, pka 2Baba hosted an exclusive event in Lagos on Sunday 19th December 2021, to raise funds for his charity organization’s projects. . r

The event, EargasmForCharity, was a well-attended and enyoyable evening of gorgeous music and exquisite dining which held at the Victoria Hall, EbonyLife Place, Victoria Island.

Notable faces at the event include the chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Billionnaire and socialite Olorogun Oscar Ibru, real estate entrepreneur and guru King Mohammed Adah (Ochacho), Oil and Gas mogul Peer Cole, real estate entrepreneur Ruth Obih, show-biz godfather Edi Lawani, MD/CEO HIV TrustFund of Nigeria, Dr. Jekwu Ozoemena, Architect and Entrepreneur Tonu Unu, Heineken’s head of premium and sessionable portfolio Sampson Oloche, Banker and Founder of Mees Palace Football Academy Emma Adakwu.

Others include ace award-winning comedian Basket Mouth, Silverbird Communications’s COO Bola Salako, Film maker and media entrepreneur Neville Sajere, popular comedian and musician EmmaOhMyGod, d well known witty comedian SLK, seasoned compere and comedian Richmond Osuji.

The event was hosted by legendary ace comedian Ali Baba, and co-hosted by leading Abuja-based MC and comedian MC Amana. It also featured cover band performances from Elixir Band, an exciting ‘switch’ saxophone performance by popular entertainment lawyer Justin Ige, and a afro-soul sensation Eleesha.

The event was staged to raise funds for The 2Baba Foundation’s educational and empowerment projects.
